ABOUT AXE THROWING
Axe throwing has historically been an event in lumberjack competitions and the modern sport involves a competitor throwing an axe at a target, attempting to hit the bullseye as near as possible.
Axe throwing is available for ages 10+ (minimum group size 3 people). All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
AXE THROWING SESSIONS
Axe throwing is for ages 10+ When you book you reserve a session for a minimum of 3 people.
All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Sessions are 45 minutes long.
You don't need to wear a check shirt but we do provide an all-important safety briefing! This is followed by expert tuition for novices and axe throwing champions alike.
The session can be as relaxed or as competitive as you would like to make it. You’ll be shoulder to shoulder with your friends, family or colleagues, slinging axes and landing bullseyes in no time!

PARKING INFORMATION
WATERSIDE HOUSE - visitor parking for one car is included with your booking. Additional vehicles must pay for parking at the Campsite Office on arrival.
PARK FOOT - visitor parking is £5 per car, per day. You can pay in advance HERE
Guests staying at Park Foot Holiday Camp can park for free.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS AND DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Archery and axe-throwing sessions are 45 minutes long.
Or you can book a combined session (both sports) which are 90 minutes long, (please be aware that combined sessions are for ages 10+ only)

CAN I MAKE A GROUP BOOKING?
When you book you reserve a session for a minimum of 3 people. However, if there's more of you you can bring up to 10 people along on the day, we'll simply take payment for the extras when you arrive.

WHAT GEAR DO I NEED?
We have everything you'll need and all equipment is included in the price of your session.
No need to dress up, comfort is key. Please wear sensible closed toe shoes - no heels, Crocs or flip-flops.
CAN WE STAY NEARBY?
Yes, very close!
We are based at Waterside House Campsite right on the water's edge - it's an ideal base for exploring the Lakes.
There's camping, glamping, Tipi and Pod hire available.
We can also recommend the beautiful Edenhall Estate which has lots of amazing dog friendly accomodation options from woodland cabins, lake view cottages, loft-style apartments and family lodges.
There are also lots of places to stay in the Lake District.
COVID 19
We take all possible precautions to protect both our customers and ourselves.
All equipment, including our wetsuits are sanitised after each use and we ask that everyone visiting Ullswater Wake & Surf takes personal responsibility for themselves and others by taking all possible precautions as detailed in government guidelines.
We ask that if you have any symptoms of COVID, or if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID that you call or email to reschedule your booking.
Please give us as much notice as possible!
